Walgreens has a bonus points program as well as register rewards.  You can sign up online or in the store (it’s FREE!) to get bonuses for select purchases.  To get more information, head over here.  This bonus points program is a loyalty program as opposed to a coupon program.

Balance Rewards/Register Rewards Tips:

• Do not use previous Balance Rewards points to purchase items (any) that produce more Balance Rewards points – you will not get the Balance Rewards points on the second purchase if you do.
• Use can use your Balance Rewards points to purchase items that are producing Register Rewards, so you may want to use your Register Rewards on Balance Reward deals and your Balance Rewards points on Register Reward deals.
• You can do multiple Balance Rewards offers in the same transaction (but not multiples of the same offer – a recent change).
• Remember, with Register Rewards deals – you can do different Register Reward offers in the same transaction, but you cannot do multiples of the same Register Reward offer in the same transaction.  Also, do not use a Register Reward to pay for a product producing the exact same Register Reward.  You can, however, use a Register Reward to pay for a product producing a different Register Reward!
• Coupons do not affect Balance Rewards or Register Rewards.  You may use coupons after reaching the BR or RR requirement, making the total go below the requirement (after coupons), and you will still get your Rewards!
• You will need to have as many items as you have coupons (Walgreens coupons – both weekly in-ad and monthly – do not count IF you hand them over last).  However, Register Rewards DO count toward your coupon total, so you may need to add a small “filler” item (cheap item) to your transaction if you do not have enough items and you want to use a Register Reward.
• Walgreens coupons are listed below.  A Walgreens coupon CAN be combined with a manufacturer coupon.  You may combine a Walgreens in-ad weekly coupon AND a Walgreens monthly coupon (both found at the front of the store) with a manufacturer’s coupon (if all 3 are available)!  Always hand over your Walgreens coupons last for the best results.
